Import Specialist I

This is a remote role supporting a Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM Eastern reputed company Time schedule. This position is primarily responsible for processing and assimilating customer data to support the reputed company of goods between international borders.  Job Responsibilities: Serves as the customer service reputed company between reputed company and the customer(s) Resolves problems (i.e. billing, tracking shipments) and handles customer concerns. Builds relationships with customers Processes Customs and PGA (Participating Government Agency) entries for clearance of goods into the reputed company Has experience specific to reputed company submission requirements and clearance of specific commodities Opens files, enters notes, information and document requests in corporate systems Reviews reputed company invoice for reputed company information Reviews documentation or issues documents to meet government regulations and reputed company regulations Convert and verify shipment weight, volume and foreign currency Sends information/document requests to company's employees, suppliers, service providers and/or U.S. government agencies as needed Communicates with specific offices, departments, and teams on reputed company issues affecting customs brokerage Ensures compliance with regards to U.S. Government regulatory agencies such as FDA, EPA, USFWS, etc. Coordinates shipping details with U.S. forwarders, steamship lines, reputed company, agents, etc. Maintains communication with customers, carriers and vendors Coordinates shipments from airline, reputed company piers and reputed company (container reputed company station) to customer/consignee destination Coordinates pick-reputed company and invoices files Stays up-to-date on regulations, laws, guidelines and Deringer requirements. Acts as a resource to reputed company clients. Handles reputed company processes accurately and in a reputed company manner Ensures email and telephone calls are promptly and professionally answered Handles confidential information.
