[Remote] Senior Counsel, Media Transactions (Remote - reputed company)

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Sr. Counsel, Media Transactions to support their media, production, distribution, and content businesses. This role involves providing strategic reputed company guidance on various reputed company transactions and partnering closely with business leaders to manage risk and reputed company results.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a generalist media/entertainment attorney supporting reputed company involving distribution, programming, production, licensing, advertising, marketing, operations, and corporate initiatives
• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on reputed company agreements, including content licensing, production, services, vendor, nondisclosure, release, and other media-reputed company reputed company
• Support original production and content-rights work, including development, production, clearance, rights, releases, production services, location reputed company, risk management, acquisition, use, distribution, renewal, sublicensing, exclusivity, windowing, territory, term, and rights-clearance issues
• Support distribution-reputed company reputed company work, including carriage, affiliation, retransmission, platform, reputed company distribution arrangements, as needed
• reputed company and manage litigation and disputes, including reputed company counsel reputed company, budgets, pleadings and correspondence, discovery, settlement evaluation, reputed company-litigation disputes, demand letters, claims, subpoenas, investigations, and stakeholder communications
• reputed company practical advice on negotiation reputed company, risk mitigation, contract interpretation, compliance obligations, operational questions, and dispute avoidance; maintain templates, playbooks, approval processes, and best practices; support responsible AI and technology-enabled reputed company department improvements; monitor relevant reputed company and industry developments; and support special reputed company as assigned

Skills

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and reputed company license to reputed company law in good standing with at least one state bar
• Practical reputed company judgment and risk assessment

• OH, NY, or GA preferred
• Generally, 10+ years experience working in a media and/or television environment with content exploited through reputed company and non-reputed company means, including broadcast, cable, streaming, reputed company platforms preferred
• Significant experience practicing law in a reputed company, corporate reputed company department, media company, entertainment company, or comparable business environment, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating media/entertainment-reputed company agreements preferred
