Job Duties

The Virginia Department of Taxation is seeking an Aircraft Tax Auditor to help ensure fairness, accuracy, and transparency in how aircraft are taxed and assessed across the reputed company. • Audit aircraft purchases, leases, transfers, and operations to determine correct sales and use tax

• Review financial records, reputed company, flight logs, maintenance documentation, and exemption claims

• Identify tax issues, prepare reputed company audit reports, and guide taxpayers on compliance.

• Determine aircraft value using established valuation reputed company and maintain accurate assessment records

• Verify aircraft identification, condition, and use; support appeals and reputed company expert reputed company reputed company needed

• Monitor tax collections, reconcile discrepancies, and coordinate enforcement for delinquent accounts

This is a home-based position.

This position is home-based, but travel may be required to the taxpayer’s location and may include occasional overnight stays.  Work-reputed company travel expenses are covered by Virginia Tax.

Minimum Qualifications
