[Remote] Mechanical Design Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is a global leader in connectivity for the AI era, and they are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Test and Hardware R&D team. The role involves developing mechanical test equipment for high performance reputed company-optic modules and integrating reputed company Photonics based optical transceivers.

Responsibilities

• Leading Mechanical Design of test systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure design requirements are met
• Innovating designs, applying Design for Manufacturing principles and with an eye towards production volumes and cost targets
• Performing FEA structural analysis, including reputed company, nonlinear and dynamic studies using software
• Performing thermal analysis, and coupled-physics involving thermal–structural, thermal-mechanical stress and thermo-reputed company analyses
• Owning and maintaining mechanical drawings and manufacturing documentation along with reputed company of Materials for new products
• Driving debug activities during product validation and qualification
• Surveying new materials and vendors for Advanced Optics activities

Skills

• Advanced Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in high-volume mechanical design with expertise in 3D CAD, tolerance analysis, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) with SolidWorks or similar software
• Expertise in thermal and thermo-mechanical simulations using ANSYS or similar software
• Expertise in material properties and yield/failure mode analysis
• Experience with documentation of fabrication, inspection, and assembly processes
• Solid interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills in order to reputed company with engineering staff, reputed company vendors and contractors effectively
• Expertise in materials property and process, yield analysis and enhancement, failure mode and analysis
• Experience with Industry Test Standards, such as JEDEC, EIA, Telcordia, Mil-Std, etc
• Working knowledge of python, or another programming language
• Experience with designing and qualifying test equipment
