They are seeking a Short Term Disability Claims Specialist who will conduct interviews with claimants, review medical records, and reputed company ethical claim determinations while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Communicating with claimants, reputed company and various medical professionals through phone and e-mail to reputed company information regarding the Short Term Disability claim
• Collaborating with fellow case managers, reputed company case managers and consulting physicians to reputed company appropriate and reputed company claim determinations
• Reviewing reputed company medical records and effectively leveraging a reputed company of tools and resources to understand appropriate approval durations and reputed company reputed company planning
• Completing accurate financial calculations consistent with company and state guidelines
• Providing exceptional customer service and proactively recognizing customer needs and areas of opportunity

Skills

• High School diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of experience in claims, leaves or customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task
• Experience with disability and/or absence management
• Strong mathematical skills for payment calculations
