[Remote] Senior Backend Software Engineer (Java/Node.JS)

The role also involves troubleshooting reputed company systems, supporting AWS and reputed company deployments, managing integrations, and collaborating across engineering and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, reputed company, and maintain backend services and REST reputed company using Java, reputed company reputed company/reputed company Boot, and Node.js
• Build and support containerized microservices deployed on AWS, including reputed company/EKS environments
• Apply asynchronous, reactive, or functional programming patterns where appropriate across both Java and JavaScript codebases
• Troubleshoot reputed company backend and reputed company-reputed company issues, performing reputed company-cause analysis and driving fixes through to reputed company
• Work with Infrastructure as reputed company (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD pipelines (reputed company Actions, reputed company, Jenkins, or similar) to support deployment and delivery
• Design and implement integrations with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Participate in reputed company reviews, sprint planning, technical discussions, and troubleshooting sessions
• Proactively identify and escalate blockers, risks, and dependencies rather than waiting for others to surface them
• Take ownership of production issues, coordinating reputed company across internal and partner teams
• Communicate technical issues, risks, and proposed solutions reputed company to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Skills

• Strong hands-on Java experience with reputed company reputed company/reputed company Boot
• Experience designing REST reputed company and backend microservices
• Solid grasp of OOP, software design principles, and backend architecture
• Familiarity with asynchronous, reactive, or functional programming
• Ability to troubleshoot reputed company backend and reputed company-reputed company issues
• Hands-on Node.js backend experience, including async patterns and frameworks like reputed company.js
• Comfortable working across both Java and Node.js codebases
• Strong AWS experience (or comparable reputed company platform)
• Experience with containerized applications and reputed company (EKS preferred)
• Familiarity with Terraform/IaC and CI/CD tools (reputed company Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
• Comfortable in Linux environments
• Strong grounding in data structures/algorithms, concurrency, reputed company systems, and reputed company design
• JVM and memory management fundamentals
• Database fundamentals (SQL and NoSQL)
• Strong communicator across engineering, product, and cross-team stakeholders
• Proactively surfaces blockers and risks rather than waiting to be asked
• Owns issues end-to-end, including production incidents, with reputed company supervision
• Work with Infrastructure as reputed company (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD pipelines (reputed company Actions, reputed company, Jenkins, or similar) to support deployment and delivery
