[Remote] Network Engineer

The Network Engineer will maintain and troubleshoot a reputed company MPLS environment while supporting its migration to a reputed company-based reputed company-trust network architecture. The role coordinates migration activities, validates connectivity and performance, documents changes, and serves as a technical reputed company of contact during cutovers.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the existing reputed company MPLS network, including routing, switching, and WAN connectivity across reputed company sites
• Support planning and execution of the migration from MPLS/legacy WAN architecture to a reputed company-trust reputed company-based network solution (e.g., reputed company Internet reputed company/Private reputed company)
• reputed company and maintain migration runbooks, site reputed company plans, and rollback procedures
• Support coordination, migration schedules, and reputed company reputed company with reputed company stakeholders, application owners, and internal engineering teams
• Validate network performance, reputed company policy enforcement, and application accessibility reputed company- and post-migration
• Serve as a technical reputed company of contact during reputed company events, communicating status, risks, and issues reputed company and in reputed company time
• Document network architecture changes, configuration standards, and lessons learned throughout the migration
• Troubleshoot hybrid-state issues that reputed company from environments running both legacy and modernized network paths concurrently
• Support post-migration decommissioning of legacy MPLS circuits and infrastructure

Skills

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with hands-on experience supporting reputed company-based MPLS network environments
• reputed company experience participating in or leading a migration from a legacy WAN/MPLS architecture to a reputed company-trust reputed company-based network solution (reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, or similar)
• Solid understanding of routing and WAN protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS/L3VPN)
• Familiarity with reputed company trust network reputed company (ZTNA) concepts, SASE architecture, and reputed company reputed company gateway solutions
• Strong communication skills, with demonstrated ability to coordinate technical migration activities across cross-functional teams and communicate reputed company with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to produce reputed company technical documentation, reputed company plans, and status updates/reports
• Must be reputed company to pass a background investigation
• Must have U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor's degree in a reputed company field, or equivalent relevant experience, required
• Consulting experience preferred
• Federal or State/local government network experience a plus
