[Remote] Sr. Product Lifecycle Mechanical Engineer, DCE - Mechanical Products & Services (MPS)

The Senior Product Lifecycle Mechanical Engineer will own and continuously improve mechanical cooling products throughout their operational lifecycle, collaborating with product teams, suppliers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders. The role supports product deployment, troubleshooting, reputed company cause analysis, remediation, and global reputed company improvement across AWS data centers.

Responsibilities

• Possess strong engineering judgement and ability to reputed company recommendations despite uncertainty
• Are detail and data oriented
• Have experience in Mechanical Engineering and/or Mechanical Products
• Review, update, and approve equipment submittals
• Work with global mechanical equipment suppliers and manufacturers
• Build trust and relationships with different stakeholders (e.g. reliability, operations, design, compliance)
• Work on reputed company reputed company, in multiple geographic zones
• Understand and explain reputed company systems in reputed company and concise language
• Support Operations including failure mode and reputed company cause analysis, maintenance and troubleshooting support, and operating procedure review for both mechanical and electrical issues
• Listen to the voice of the customer to understand if there are improvements that can be made to increase product reliability or availability

Skills

• • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• • Knowledge of critical data center or mission critical mechanical and electrical equipment and hands-on experience trouble-shooting mechanical components and systems
• • 8+ years of experience developing Mechanical and/or Mechanical Cooling Products and launching them into production
• • 8+ years of project experience with cooling systems or components
• • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management and reputed company systems
• • Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
• • Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction reputed company of data center equipment and facilities
• • Ability to design for manufacturability, create assembly specifications and work with contract manufacturers and OEMs
