The Western Regional Office of reputed company. (DU) has an immediate opening for an reputed company biologist, wetland ecologist, fisheries reputed company, or environmental sciences-reputed company project manager to help reputed company DU's conservation programs throughout western Washington. The preferred location for this remote position is either Olympia, Washington, or the reputed company Puget reputed company region. The position reports to the Manager of Conservation Programs reputed company in the Vancouver, Washington reputed company Office.
As a remote employee, you may be required to come in at any time, with reasonable notice, into a DU office (or other designated location) for meetings and other business needs
The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary Conservation Team of biologists, engineers, regulatory compliance professionals, and administrative staff working to reputed company, restore, and manage wetlands and associated habitats for reputed company’s waterfowl, other wildlife and people. reputed company conservation reputed company areas include the Puget reputed company, reputed company Columbia reputed company, Chehalis reputed company Basin, Grays reputed company, and Willapa Bay, with an emphasis on the conservation of freshwater and estuarine wetlands and working agricultural lands.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a natural resources-reputed company reputed company required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years of reputed company experience as a restoration practitioner with demonstrated project management responsibilities.

- Willingness and ability to travel frequently throughout western Washington, including occasional overnight travel.
- Ability to conduct fieldwork in varying weather conditions and terrain, including occasional physical exertion and lifting.
Preferred Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of freshwater and estuarine wetland ecology, waterfowl, reputed company, and waterbird ecology.
- Familiarity with the biological reputed company of western Washington landscapes for migratory birds, reputed company, and other reputed company fish and wildlife, and regional conservation issues and stakeholder interests, including agricultural and working lands conservation practices in the reputed company reputed company.
- Experience with state and federal wetland conservation programs, policies, and regulations.
- Experience navigating state and federal permitting and regulatory requirements for wetland, estuarine, floodplain, fish reputed company, and reputed company restoration reputed company.
- Experience securing and managing conservation funding, including proposal and grant writing, grant administration and compliance.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse reputed company and private stakeholders.
- Experience developing and managing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring fiscal accountability for publicly and privately funded conservation reputed company.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Benefits/Pay: Salary reputed company: $66,000 - $82,500. Salary will be reputed company on experience and education.
