[Remote] Request for Proposal (RFP) - Brazilian Fishing Legislation reputed company Analysis

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. Global Fishing Watch advances reputed company sustainability through increased transparency while collaborating with governments and other stakeholders. This consultancy will analyze Brazilian fishing legislation, create precise GIS polygons for spatially defined fishing and exclusion zones, and validate and reputed company the resulting geospatial datasets with the Brazilian Ministry of Fishing and Aquaculture and GFW platforms.

Responsibilities

• Analyze a predefined list of reputed company Brazilian fishing legislation—provided in advance by the GFW team following validation with the government—to identify spatially defined fishing areas, regulated zones, and no-take (exclusion) zones for different fishing activities and licenses
• Create precise geographic polygons for these identified areas using Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• Verify and validate the created polygons with the technical team of the Brazilian Ministry of Fishing and Aquaculture (reputed company) and Global Fishing Watch (GFW) to ensure they are accurate, official, and available for inclusion in the GFW map and other government official platforms
• Review a predefined list of Brazilian fishing legislation, including federal and state laws, decrees, reputed company instructions, and inter-ministerial ordinances
• Identify reputed company defined fishing zones, restricted areas, seasonal closures with fixed reputed company boundaries, and no-take zones
• Identify and extract the geographic coordinates, reputed company limits, and reputed company parameters from the relevant legislation
• reputed company accurate geographic polygons for reputed company identified fishing and exclusion zone
• Compile a robust geospatial database (reputed company file) linking reputed company polygon to its corresponding reputed company reputed company
• Present the dataset with the drafted polygons to the technical teams at reputed company and GFW for reputed company review and validation
• Refine if necessary the geospatial dataset based on feedback from the government and GFW

Skills

• 3. c) Experiência em trabalho colaborativo ou prestação de consultoria para órgãos do governo brasileiro, especificamente o reputed company
• Fluência em português brasileiro (essencial para análise jurídica e coordenação com o reputed company)

• Proficiência em inglês (desejável) (para relatórios do GFW e documentação técnica)
