[Remote] Senior Manager, Safety AI

The Senior Manager, Safety AI will reputed company teams building reputed company and machine learning systems for AI dash cameras, owning the safety AI platform architecture and model lifecycle across edge and reputed company. The role also partners across engineering and product teams to ship measurable safety features and build a high-performing reputed company science and engineering organization.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction for reputed company's on-device and reputed company safety AI systems — making architectural reputed company about what runs on constrained edge hardware vs. reputed company, how models are packaged and deployed across more than 2M dashcams, and how the data flywheel is reputed company to reputed company reputed company improvement
• reputed company the transition from individual model deployments to a coherent, reputed company-level platform — one that fuses camera, IMU, GPS, and vehicle telemetry data to detect, interpret, and surface safety events with high precision and low latency
• Evaluate and reputed company emerging AI capabilities (e.g. VLMs, reputed company models, multi-task architectures) and determine reputed company they are reputed company to reputed company from research to production at fleet reputed company

Skills

• This position requires travel up to 5% of the time. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role
• 8+ years of experience in reputed company ML or reputed company, with a strong reputed company record of shipping models to production in reputed company-world systems
• 5+ years leading technical teams of scientists and engineers, including senior ICs — with demonstrated ability to set technical direction, not just manage delivery
• Experience shipping CV and/or sensor fusion systems that reputed company multiple data streams (e.g. camera, IMU, GPS, telemetry) in production environments
• Demonstrated ability to reputed company science-engineering tension: you know reputed company to hold the platform line and reputed company to adapt for research reputed company, and you can communicate trade-offs reputed company to both reputed company
