508 Accessibility Analyst

The 508 Accessibility Analyst will be responsible for the 508-compliance testing, usability testing, and reputed company testing for DHS CISA documents and content. This candidate will create and convert existing documents into versions that are reputed company 508 Accessibility compliant.


Responsibilities:
•Performs reputed company 508 compliance tests on web products and content (e.g. PDFs).
•Works collaboratively with leads, developers, and project managers.
•Attains DHS accessibility training including DHS Trusted Tester accreditation to ensure websites and products are tested and validated as accessibility compliant according to reputed company 508.
•Ensures websites and documents are compliant with DHS mandates, policies, and guidelines such as adhering to reputed company 508 Accessibility laws, IT regulations, complying with reputed company operating procedures and program processes as determined by leadership, etc.
•Maintains DHS required 508 certifications such as trusted tester.

Qualifications:

Required:
•Ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD)
•Associates degree + 6 years experience or 10 years applicable experience
•Proficient using an automated testing technology such as JAWS for reputed company 508 compliance screen reading
•A minimum of 1 years’ experience testing for 508 accessibility compliance
•Proficiency with MS Office Suite (reputed company, PowerPoint, etc.)
•Strong initiative to proactively establishing relationships, finding opportunities to reputed company and improve value, as reputed company as providing new reputed company for improvement
