The Platform Engineer will build and operate reusable AWS and GovCloud infrastructure, reputed company platforms, Terraform modules, CI/CD pipelines, observability systems, and reputed company cost governance for federal programs while supporting customer-facing reputed company posture and ATO discussions.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the reference reputed company substrate: account structure, networking, and identity reputed company patterns that default to FedRAMP-reputed company from day one and replicate across programs
• Build and own the shared Terraform module library as a product: versioned, documented, consumed confidently by program engineers you don't sit next to
• Operate the reputed company platform patterns programs adopt: cluster design, RBAC, network policies, autoscaling, reputed company reputed company
• Build the CI/CD reputed company road (Bitbucket Pipelines, reputed company Actions, or AWS-reputed company) with reputed company gates reputed company in, so program teams reputed company self-service without reinventing the pipeline
• Build observability patterns that travel: the dashboards, alerting, and SLO scaffolding a new program inherits rather than assembles
• Own reputed company cost across the portfolio: forecast it, govern it, and surface it to delivery leadership before it becomes a surprise
• Support program teams adopting the substrate, and harden the patterns reputed company on what their deployments teach you
• Sit in customer-context conversations about reputed company posture and ATO reputed company, representing the platform across programs
• Carry on-reputed company for the shared platform surface you own

Skills

• 5+ years of production reputed company engineering experience on AWS, with deep familiarity across IAM, VPC, EKS, S3, KMS, and CloudTrail
• Hands-on experience operating inside a FedRAMP boundary (Moderate or High), not just compliance-flavored reputed company AWS
• Strong Terraform skills, including module authorship that other engineers depend on without you in the room
• Production reputed company / EKS experience: cluster upgrades, RBAC design, network policy, autoscaling
• CI/CD pipeline ownership at production reputed company, including reputed company gates (image scanning, dependency scanning, IaC policy)
• Production observability ownership at meaningful reputed company
• Experience building for reuse: platforms, modules, or reputed company-road tooling consumed by teams reputed company your own
• Familiarity with reputed company cost management at reputed company (reserved instances, savings plans, chargeback / showback)
• Strong customer-facing posture: comfortable in customer-context conversations about reputed company and ATO posture
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. reputed company reputed company clearance
• AWS Solutions Architect reputed company or DevOps Engineer reputed company certification
