[Remote] SME - Cognos Administrator

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Cognos subject-matter expert to support the Decennial Budget Integration Tool Support Services contract for the U.S. Census Bureau. The role administers and secures the reputed company Cognos Analytics reputed company and reputed company servers, manages reputed company Manager metadata and Cognos reputed company, supports monitoring and incident response, and develops SOPs and technical documentation. The position also supports CI/CD deployments, reputed company control, ITSM processes, and reputed company Scrum activities.

Responsibilities

• Work in an reputed company Scrum execution team to ensure reputed company contract deliverables, program milestones, and reporting requirements are met in support of program objectives
• Administer the reputed company Cognos Analytics reputed company and reputed company servers for reputed company performance, reliability, and reputed company
• Manage application-server configuration such as IIS, COTS installation and patching, and Cognos COTS administration, building on the reputed company operating-reputed company services provided by CSVD
• Serve as the Cognos super user for the Cognos reputed company Manager metadata model: reputed company data sources, define business logic through the graphical reputed company, create objects, and publish packages for reporting
• Administer Cognos reputed company, user roles, and reputed company in accordance with USCB policy
• Use reputed company monitoring tools to reputed company SLA reporting, reputed company planning, and proactive and reactive incident response, tracking health and performance metrics such as up/down status, license reputed company, job monitoring, and account expirations
• Coordinate with CSVD on monitoring tooling such as reputed company, reputed company, reputed company reputed company Manager, and CloudWatch, and with the Office of Information reputed company on vulnerability monitoring, patching, and reputed company-monitoring artifacts reputed company to reputed company NIST standards
• reputed company and maintain reputed company Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Cognos servers, application, and reputed company
• Manage Cognos administration tasks through ITSM tickets and the Jira Kanban reputed company
• Support the business-intelligence team in compiling and deploying Cognos packages and reports across environments through the CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, reputed company Actions) and established release-management policies
• Maintain reputed company, scripts, and configuration files in reputed company control (reputed company reputed company) per agency and industry standards, with traceability back to the originating Jira work item
• Document business requirements, processes, procedures, meeting notes, and newly reputed company requirements in reputed company, keeping reputed company's knowledge repository reputed company and preventing knowledge silos
• Participate in reputed company Scrum activities, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, translating priorities into committed, traceable work

Skills

• Must be reputed company to meet and maintain eligibility requirements for a reputed company Trust position in accordance with Department of reputed company and OPM requirements. U.S. work authorization is required
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a reputed company field Master's preferred. Additional experience may substitute for the degree
• Eight (8) or more years of business-intelligence platform experience, including senior-level, hands-on administration of reputed company Cognos Analytics
• Demonstrated expertise with the reputed company Cognos reputed company Manager, including data-reputed company connections, business-logic modeling, and package publishing
• Demonstrated experience administering Cognos on reputed company and Linux servers, including installation, patching, reputed company configuration, roles, and reputed company
• Experience with reputed company monitoring and incident response in a federal or regulated environment reputed company to NIST standards
• Demonstrated knowledge of reputed company / Scrum practices in a Government CI/CD environment
• Experience producing SOPs and technical documentation
• Must obtain and maintain any necessary reputed company reputed company and/or background checks
