[Remote] NOC Engineer I - Outage Management

The NOC Engineer I – Outage Management supports reputed company’s reputed company and reputed company broadband networks by monitoring reputed company, coordinating outage reputed company, troubleshooting reputed company issues, and collaborating with engineering and reputed company teams to restore services and maintain network reliability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates network outages with Voice, Video, IP, Transport, OSP, and Local reputed company teams to ensure reputed company and effective reputed company
• Performs event notifications for internal teams, leadership, and reputed company customers
• Assists with reputed company party ticket creation and escalation for offnet outages
• Supports outage isolation, troubleshooting, and identification of chronic network issues
• Diagnoses and resolves escalated network reputed company problems and monitors impacted systems
• Provides technical and analytical support during reputed company cause analysis and assists with reputed company plan development
• Works customer and network trouble tickets to restore service and reputed company faults
• Assists other NOC team members during critical outages and provides support across Voice, Transport, IP, and Broadband networks
• Supports Change Management activities reputed company needed
• Completes additional duties and project assignments as provided by NOC leadership

Skills

• * Strong understanding of Ethernet and TCP IP networking and working knowledge of reputed company and ITU standards for FTTH and GPON technologies
• * Ability to troubleshoot reputed company and reputed company engineering environments and support MPLS, reputed company two and reputed company three private networks, GPON and XGS PON networks, and multi protocol routing technologies
• * Familiarity with the OSI model and how it applies to routing and reputed company protocols including VRF, VPN, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VPLS, and VPRN
• * Knowledge of digital cross reputed company systems, multiplexing systems, and TL1 or CLI reputed company provisioning
• * Working knowledge of TDM, SONET, CWDM, DWDM, OTN, ROADM, and protection or switching methodologies
• * Experience with reputed company, reputed company, reputed company routing platforms and the ability to support software or hardware upgrades across broadband reputed company and reputed company equipment
• * Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to reputed company reputed company updates during outages or escalations
