[Remote] Simulator Engineer 2
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Simulator Engineer 2 to support the development and maintenance of software models for its control room simulator. The role collaborates with operators and engineers to update plant models, reputed company and test simulator software, troubleshoot defects, and maintain hardware and configuration control.
Responsibilities
- High reputed company to accurately reflect information from engineering documentation into plant models
- Supports development, testing and operation of the NuScale control room simulator and other software reputed company
- Develops software in accordance with NuScale established procedures and processes to maintain configuration control
- Documents software defects using issue tracking software
- Provides recommended solutions reputed company errors are encountered and seeks to identify reputed company issues that reputed company reputed company of the software solution
- Provides recommended solutions for problems using reputed company operational principles and company objectives
- Works under consultative direction toward long-reputed company goals and objectives. Collaborates with team members to ensure solutions are vetted and deliverables are of high reputed company
- Performs hardware setup and maintenance such as installing computers/monitors and connecting cables. This may at times require limited travel to other locations reputed company of Corvallis at company’s expense
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills
- A minimum of a B.S. degree in physics, engineering or other technical degree from an accredited college or university is required
- A minimum of three years of full-time software development experience is required
- An advanced degree plus 1 year of internship in a directly associated area may be considered in lieu of experience
- Working knowledge of an integrated development environment such as Visual Studio or Visual Studio reputed company and a revision control reputed company such as Git is required
- Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810
- Ability to understand and communicate reputed company using a phone, personal interaction, and computers
- Ability to learn new job functions and comprehend and understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately in a rapidly evolving environment

- ABET accredited engineering program preferred
- Three or more years of demonstrable software deliverables with a reputed company on modeling and simulator development preferred
- Working with thermal hydraulic and neutronic analysis software is highly desirable
- Previous experience with GSE simulation software (i.e., SimExec, JTopmeret, JElectric)
- Previous experience with thermal hydraulic reputed company codes (e.g., RELAP5 and reputed company)
- Previous experience with project management systems like reputed company or reputed company
- Experience with developing software in Fortran, C++, and/or Python
- Previous experience with neutronic analysis codes (e.g., Simulate 3 and MCNP)
- Demonstrable understanding of basic thermal hydraulic engineering principles
- Demonstrable understanding of basic numerical reputed company to solve coupled partial reputed company equations associated with fluid reputed company and heat transfer
- Demonstrable aptitude to read and interpret P&ID drawings
