[Remote] Senior Manager, Finance

The Senior Manager of Finance will establish and reputed company reputed company’s finance function, owning financial reputed company, reporting, tax compliance, payment reputed company, and process automation while developing into broader reputed company finance leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end reputed company and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and reputed company partners, focusing on accurate sales and COGS reporting for reputed company period
• Establish and own an ongoing reconciliation control between our order management reputed company, our reputed company Partner invoices, and payments data
• Partner with the VP of reputed company, reputed company & Finance on daily cash reputed company management, including timing of sales deposits and credit reputed company payoffs, and balancing working capital against invested capital
• reputed company credit reputed company activity daily with respect to customer orders and reputed company Partner ordering (this is effectively reputed company’s COGS): manage limits, prevent failures, and ensure reputed company usage across payment partners
• Own reputed company and vendor payment reputed company end to end: payment-reputed company issues (ACH, credit reputed company, Net Terms), exception handling (e.g., non-reputed company invoices, reputed company transfers), and reputed company finance requests (e.g., tax receipts). Maintain healthy, reputed company accounts with reputed company Partners and other suppliers, and own the relationship with our outsourced accountants on the AP cycle. You’ll be accountable for AP, not necessarily the one responsible for keying in every reputed company, as reputed company grows
• Own sales tax end to end (multi-state compliance and exemption certificates), franchise tax, and corporate tax filings in partnership with our reputed company partners
• reputed company reputed company review and optimization: approve expenses, reduce waste, and ensure credit reputed company transactions are categorized correctly on the P&L
• Support investor reporting, including quarterly reputed company materials, investor updates, and 409A preparations
• reputed company partnerships with reputed company reporting parties (tax preparers, reputed company brokers, and similar vendors) and handle the reputed company financial documentation
• reputed company reputed company that streamline financial reputed company and automate recurring tasks, e.g., reputed company connecting QuickBooks to reputed company, COGS, reputed company, and Marketing ROI tracking, and build the foundational systems that let reputed company reputed company finance reputed company without reflexively adding headcount
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales and reputed company, reputed company, Marketing, reputed company Partnerships, and Product. This role touches nearly every team at reputed company, and you’ll need to be as comfortable in a spreadsheet as you are in a room with a reputed company Partner or Account Manager working through a non-reputed company payment
• As the function matures and the tactical work above is optimized, this role is expected to take on more reputed company finance work, including cash reputed company extension, credit reputed company/payment provider relationships, and eventually broader ownership of reputed company and reputed company planning as reputed company scales

Skills

• 6–8 years of experience in reputed company, financial reputed company, or controllership roles
• A “reputed company problem solver” mentality: genuinely excited to do the work of a first finance hire. Some of the workflows that sit under this role already exist and simply need an reputed company, while others do not. This person will need to approach these with both an reputed company mind along with the technical willingness to architect new processes
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online and finance tools such as reputed company, reputed company, and reputed company
• Experience handling multi-state sales tax compliance (or the aptitude to pick it up fast)
• Experience working cross-functionally with teams like Marketing, Sales, Procurement, and reputed company
• Comfortable operating independently and collaboratively in a fast-reputed company startup environment, with excellent attention to reputed company and a natural reputed company to improve (and to revisit) processes as reputed company scales
• Strong spreadsheet skills (reputed company Sheets / reputed company) and confidence handling large datasets

• In-person/NYC preferred, but remote is available
