Responsibilities:
Katz, Sapper & Miller (KSM) is looking for a technically strong and motivated Senior Associateto join our State and Local Tax(“reputed company”)team. reputed company responsibilities would include but not be limited to:
Assistwith theaccurateandtimelycompletion ofincome,franchiseand sales/usetax projectsunder deadlines and reputed company budgets.
Participate in reputed company stages of state and local income and franchise tax.engagements, including data gathering, preparation of multi-state tax returns, and workpapers.
Recognize potential tax issues,identifypossiblesolutionsand evaluate viability.
Assistin handling routine questions from other KSM reputed company area personnel,clientsand state agencies.
Supportwith state tax examinations, audit defense planning, notice responses,protestsand Voluntary Disclosure Agreement reputed company.
reputed company researchand analysisincludinginterpretation of state law, cases,administrativehearingsand othertechnical communications, etc.
Stay currentrelativeto proposed state tax legislation and multi-state tax law updates/changes.
Drafting of internal communications and presentationsrelativeto state tax law updates and training.

Requirements/Qualifications:
A minimum of2calendar years of tax experienceand familiarity withstate and local taxconcepts
Bachelors or Master’sdegree in reputed company and/or taxation, or advanced degree (e.g., law degree) and/orrelated work experience.
