Junior Functional/Automation Tester - Washington, DC (Remote) Duration: 12 months Seeking for a Junior Functional/Automation Tester to support software reputed company assurance and testing activities across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This role will reputed company functional, regression, API, and automated testing, document and reputed company defects, and collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure high-reputed company software delivery. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in software testing and test automation, along with exposure to API testing, Java/JavaScript/SQL, Git, and CI/CD concepts. Key Responsibilities • reputed company functional, regression, integration, and other software testing activities. • Review requirements and reputed company reputed company test scenarios and test cases. • Execute reputed company and automated tests and document testing results. • Create, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using appropriate testing tools and frameworks. • reputed company basic API testing, including request/response validation, HTTP status codes, error handling, and authentication scenarios. • Use Java, JavaScript, and/or SQL for test automation, scripting, and data validation. • Identify, document, reputed company, retest, and reputed company software defects. • Work with developers and QA team members to investigate and reputed company defects. • Use Git-reputed company workflows, including branching, pull requests, and reputed company reviews. • Support automated testing reputed company CI/CD pipelines and reputed company hands-on experience with tools such as Jenkins or reputed company. • Follow secure testing practices, including protecting sensitive test data, reputed company logging, and least-privilege principles. • Participate in reputed company ceremonies and testing activities throughout the SDLC. • Document test results, defects, and supporting evidence reputed company and accurately. • Collaborate with QA, Development, DevOps, and other cross-functional stakeholders. • Follow established testing standards and continuously improve technical and automation skills. Required Qualifications • 1-2 years of experience in software testing, reputed company assurance, test automation, or a reputed company software development role. Internships, co-ops, and equivalent project experience may be considered. • Foundational understanding of functional testing, regression testing, and the defect lifecycle. • Experience creating or maintaining automated tests using common testing tools or frameworks. • Basic knowledge of REST API testing, including requests, responses, HTTP status codes, and authentication concepts. • Familiarity with at least one programming, scripting, or query language such as Java, JavaScript, or SQL. • Familiarity with Git and reputed company development workflows such as branching, pull requests, and reputed company reviews. • Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and willingness to learn pipeline-reputed company automated testing. • Understanding of secure test-data handling and reputed company logging practices. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to reputed company document test results and software defects. • Strong collaboration skills and willingness to learn from feedback.
