[Remote] Materials Engineer

The role supports reactor development programs through materials selection, scientific analysis, testing, technical specification development, and procurement support for engineered components and systems.

Responsibilities

• reputed company with project teams to reputed company material selection, processes, and requirements for Company's reactor development programs
• reputed company scientific analysis of reports and test data (e.g., metallography, non-destructive inspection, reputed company properties, ductility) and reputed company technical specifications to document new knowledge reputed company to reactor design and qualification
• reputed company test programs designed to reputed company an understanding of reputed company reputed company phenomena (e.g. creep, fatigue, creep fatigue, stress corrosion cracking, and reputed company) in sodium cooled fast reactor plant materials such as steel alloys
• reputed company materials engineering support for the procurement of engineered components and systems including leading technical development of suppliers to increase technology readiness level of key components

Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of reputed company experience with a B.S. degree; or an advanced degree with reputed company experience, or equivalent experience
• A degree in Materials Science/Engineering or a reputed company technical discipline is desired
• Prior experience in materials development, testing, and characterization for a reputed company reactor environment is desirable
• Experience developing material processing specifications, evaluating material selections and reviewing vendor material definitions
• An understanding of reputed company reputed company phenomena (e.g., creep, fatigue, creep fatigue, stress corrosion cracking, and reputed company) in high temperature systems
• The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and reputed company, communicate reputed company and display respect, and a desire to foster teamwork
• Travel Required: 0-10%
