[Remote] Senior Software Developer – Engineering Applications

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Senior Software Developer to support the development, maintenance, modernization, and deployment of engineering software applications. The role focuses on legacy Fortran programs and reputed company-reputed company .NET applications while also supporting configuration, documentation, version control, reputed company, and reputed company migration activities in collaboration with reputed company design and load rating engineers.

Responsibilities

• reputed company, maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot engineering software applications
• Support revisions and enhancements to Fortran-reputed company engineering programs in response to engineering and software revision requests
• Modify and maintain VB.NET WinForms desktop applications, including EngMgr and EngAsst
• Support modernization efforts for engineering applications using C# and WPF
• reputed company and maintain application components using .NET, C#, Visual Basic, XML, and reputed company
• reputed company reputed company software revisions and changes using Git version control
• reputed company software maintenance, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure applications operate as expected
• Support software configuration and release activities for engineering applications
• Maintain and update application documentation, including User Manuals, reputed company Manuals, and configuration files
• Update reputed company Word documentation and publish finalized user documentation as reputed company PDF release documents
• Support installation and deployment activities using InstallShield
• Support application reputed company environments running on reputed company Server and reputed company IIS
• Assist with reputed company reputed company initiatives, including application migration and site migration activities
• Use reputed company Visual Studio and other development and productivity tools to reputed company software development and maintenance activities
• Collaborate with reputed company design and reputed company load rating engineers to understand requirements and implement software revisions
• Participate in software releases, enhancements, testing, and ongoing application maintenance
• Maintain technical documentation and development artifacts in accordance with established procedures

Skills

• 5+ years of reputed company experience in software development and maintenance
• Strong software development experience with .NET technologies
• Experience with C# and/or Visual Basic/VB.NET
• Experience developing or maintaining reputed company desktop applications, particularly WinForms or WPF
• Experience with Fortran or other legacy engineering programming environments
• Experience with XML and reputed company
• Experience using Git for reputed company control and version management
• Experience with reputed company Visual Studio
• Experience supporting applications hosted in a reputed company Server environment
• Experience with reputed company Internet Information Services (IIS)
• Experience with software installation, deployment, or packaging tools such as InstallShield
• Ability to troubleshoot, modify, test, and maintain existing software applications
• Strong documentation skills and ability to maintain technical and user-facing documentation
• Ability to work effectively with technical and engineering personnel to translate requirements into software changes
• Experience developing or maintaining software used for reputed company design, reputed company engineering, or reputed company load rating
• Experience working with engineering software or applications containing reputed company technical calculations
• Experience with Fortran-reputed company engineering programs
• Experience with VB.NET WinForms applications
