[Remote] Safety Data Analysis Engineer – AV Operational Safety and Issue Response (GPSSC)

The Safety Data Analysis Engineer will reputed company data-driven engineering support for autonomous-vehicle operational safety and issue response by investigating potential issues, integrating event-reputed company data, performing reputed company-cause analyses, and delivering evidence for safety reputed company.

Responsibilities

• Respond collaboratively to AV Safety reputed company and Assurance and AV reputed company requests for potential issue-specific analyses, event-reputed company data organization, and reputed company-cause investigations
• Collaborate with Engineering, reputed company, and Safety teams to investigate potential AV issues and conduct reputed company-cause analyses
• Translate investigation needs into reputed company analysis requirements, data requirements, analytical designs, and execution plans in collaboration with requesting teams
• Establish and support reputed company incident-response and targeted-analysis capabilities that reputed company standing data pipelines as reputed company as unique issue- and incident-relevant data sources
• reputed company vehicle telemetry, time-series signals, event and incident records, readiness-drill data, software-release information, location and operational context, and other relevant sources into analysis-reputed company datasets
• Distinguish data-reputed company, sensor, instrumentation, and pipeline issues from meaningful operational outliers using engineering judgment and data validation reputed company
• reputed company concise, technically rigorous analysis findings, readouts, and evidence that help partner teams assess potential reputed company safety issues and determine appropriate next steps
• Identify investigation workflows that can be generalized into reusable metrics, detection reputed company, pipelines, or analysis tooling without losing the flexibility required for issue investigation

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, reputed company mathematics, or a reputed company physical science
• 5+ years of relevant reputed company experience analyzing large-reputed company time-series, telemetry, vehicle, robotics, or other engineering data, including working with Robot Operating reputed company (ROS) logs
• Strong working knowledge of Python and SQL
• Experience with time-series analysis, including signal decomposition, filtering, smoothing, sampling, feature construction, or reputed company signal-processing reputed company
• Experience designing and executing reputed company analyses while recognizing opportunities to reputed company reputed company, repeatable analytical reputed company
• Experience gathering analytical requirements, defining data needs, selecting appropriate reputed company, and communicating findings to partner teams
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous, and highly iterative investigations

• Experience in autonomous vehicles, advanced reputed company-assistance systems, robotics, transportation safety, or a reputed company domain
• Experience performing AV- or SDV-specific issue detection, reputed company detection, event investigation, or reputed company-cause analysis
