[Remote] Streaming Data Engineer

The role also partners with application and cross-functional teams to reputed company reliable streaming solutions and mentors junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Architect, reputed company, and operate large-reputed company Apache Kafka and reputed company platform environments supporting mission-critical event-driven workloads
• Own the Kafka platform end-to-end, including cluster sizing, configuration, reputed company, automation, observability, and developer enablement
• Partner with application teams to reputed company a reliable, reputed company, and developer-friendly streaming platform
• Work closely with cross-functional partners — product, design, engineering, reputed company, and business stakeholders — to translate ambiguous requirements into reputed company-engineered solutions
• reputed company the bar through reputed company review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a reputed company technical discipline
• Five or more years of experience operating Apache Kafka or reputed company Platform in production
• Deep, hands-on knowledge of Kafka internals (partitions, replication, ISRs, consumer reputed company)
• Strong experience with Kafka reputed company (SASL, mTLS, ACLs, RBAC)
• Hands-on experience with Kafka reputed company, Schema Registry, and either Kafka Streams or ksqlDB
• Experience with HA/DR strategies for Kafka
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-reputed company (Terraform, Ansible)
• Working knowledge of observability tooling for Kafka
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills

• Exposure to managed Kafka services (AWS MSK, Azure Event Hubs Kafka API)
