About the Position

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for performing claim processing and payment functions, reviewing electronic claim files, and making outbound calls to customers to ensure their satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform claim processing and payment functions on non-complex claims for multiple lines of business, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review electronic claim files for completeness, gathering missing information as needed and updating the files accordingly.
  • Make outbound calls to customers, responding professionally to their inquiries and concerns, and offering solutions based on established guidelines.
  • Develop recognition of coverages, claim processing requirements, and related data processing systems to provide informed support to our customers.
  • Obtain appraisals and other needed information from insured parties, advising them on the proper course of action and ensuring a smooth claims process.
  • Record additional information into our company's network, updating the electronic claim file accordingly and maintaining accurate records.
  • Interpret caller inquiries and offer options based on established guidelines, providing personalized support and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Set up predetermined reserves on level 1 claims and manage outbound calls to confirm next steps, ensuring timely and effective claim processing.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service or a related field, with a proven track record of providing exceptional support and resolving issues efficiently.
  • An Associate degree preferred, although equivalent experience and skills will be considered.

Nice-to-Haves

While not essential, the following skills and experience will be advantageous:

  • Experience with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively, handling multiple calls and tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
