Senior Maximo Technical Consultant (Security & Compliance Focus) Remote | Long-Term Contract | Maximo 7.6 / MAS 8.x | Security-First Engineering If you believe great systems are built twice — once in code and once in security — this role was written with you in mind. We’re looking for a Senior Maximo Technical Consultant who’s equally comfortable writing deep technical customizations and designing security models that stand up to audits, regulators, and real-world pressure. This is not a “keep the lights on” role — it’s a build-it-right, secure-it-right, own-it kind of opportunity. You’ll be the go-to expert shaping how Maximo works, how it integrates, and how it stays compliant — all while keeping performance, usability, and maintainability front and center. What You’ll Be DoingBuild the Brains Behind the System You’ll design and implement advanced Maximo customizations that solve real operational problems — not just tweak screens. • Develop complex business logic using Java (MBOs / Bean Classes) • Build and manage Automation Scripts (Jython / JavaScript) • Create clean, scalable solutions that won’t come back to haunt the next release Connect Maximo to the Enterprise Maximo doesn’t live in a bubble — and neither will you. • Architect and support integrations using Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) • Work with REST APIs, Web Services, and JMS queues • Ensure integrations are secure, reliable, and built to scale Turn Data Into Insight (and Proof) You’ll build reporting that supports both operations and compliance. • Develop advanced reports using BIRT • Write complex SQL to support operational, audit, and compliance needs Security, Governance & Compliance — Where You Shine This is where your experience really matters. Design Smart, Defensible Access Models • Architect Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) using Maximo Security Groups • Enforce least-privilege access without slowing teams down Make Auditors Comfortable • Configure and manage Electronic Signatures (E-Sig) and Electronic Auditing (E-Audit) • Ensure a clean, tamper-proof audit trail for critical asset and data changes Own Identity & Authentication • Lead integrations with enterprise identity providers using SAML, LDAP, or OIDC • Support Single Sign-On (SSO) in secure, enterprise-grade environments Protect Sensitive Data • Implement Data Restrictions and Conditional UI logic • Ensure compliance with GDPR and other regulatory requirements without sacrificing usability What You Bring to the TableCore Technical Experience • Maximo 7.6.1.x or Maximo Application Suite (MAS 8.x) • Strong hands-on development skills in: • Java • Python / Jython • SQL • JavaScript • Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2 • Middleware experience with IBM WebSphere or Liberty Security & Compliance Knowledge • SSO, SAML, SSL/TLS, LDAP • Hands-on experience with E-Sig / E-Audit • Familiarity with standards such as ISO 55000, NERC CIP, or similar Qualifications • 5+ years of hands-on technical Maximo experience • 2+ years focused on architecture, security administration, or governance • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field Nice-to-Haves (Not Deal-Breakers) • IBM Certified Deployment Professional • Security certifications like CISSP or CISA Why This Role Is Different • You’re not just “supporting Maximo” — you’re shaping how it’s built and trusted • Security isn’t an afterthought here — it’s part of the architecture • You’ll have autonomy, influence, and real ownership • Fully remote, long-term stability, and meaningful work Remote Skills: Application Programming Interface (API), Auditing, Authentication, Business Development, CISA - Certified Information Systems Auditor, CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Computer Science, IBM Maximo Asset Management, ISO (International Organization for Standardization), Internet Security, Java, Java Message Service (JMS), JavaScript, LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), Maintain Compliance, Operational Audit, Operational Support, Problem Solving Skills, REST (Representational State Transfer), Regulatory Requirements, Reporting Skills, SQL (Structured Query Language), Scripting (Scripting Languages), Security Architecture, Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), Security Consulting, Technical Consulting, Technical Writing, Technical/Engineering Design, Usability Engineering, User Interface/Experience (UI/UX), Web Services About the Company: iSphere Innovation Partners, LLC Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
