Job Overview

The Client Systems group at arenaflex is seeking an experienced Java Developer to help design, develop, and implement new solutions. As a Java Software Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams across arenaflex, working closely with business leaders and stakeholders to deliver high-quality products. You will be responsible for developing scalable, efficient, and reliable software systems, and will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from customer-facing applications to internal tools and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement Java-based applications, including web and cloud-based systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business leaders, product managers, and other engineers
  • Develop scalable, efficient, and reliable software systems, using technologies such as Spring, REST, and NoSQL databases
  • Work with large datasets, using artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to drive insights and decision-making
  • Design and implement distributed systems, including synchronous and asynchronous programming, and coding data structures
  • Develop and maintain large-scale enterprise systems, including web applications and APIs
  • Ensure the security and integrity of software systems, using best practices and industry standards
  • Lead and mentor other engineers, providing guidance and support to help them grow and develop in their careers

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience with Java and Java Enterprise development, including design, development, and deployment of large-scale applications
  • Proven experience with Spring, REST, and NoSQL databases, including data modeling and data access patterns
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, including design patterns, testing, and deployment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud-based platforms, including AWS or Azure
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques, including data science and analytics
  • Experience with agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
  • Strong understanding of security principles, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption
  • Experience with containerization, including Docker and Kubernetes
