As CauseMic’s Technology Consultant for a large Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud project, you will step into a key delivery role supporting a Salesforce implementation for an existing client for a project that is currently underway. You’ll serve as both a client-facing project manager and a hands-on Salesforce consultant, helping guide the project forward while leading solution design and build work—especially across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, which are not yet fully built out. This role is ideal for someone who can move comfortably between stakeholder conversations, requirements gathering, solution architecture, sprint planning, and platform configuration. You should be able to bring structure to an active project, build trust with clients, and translate evolving business needs into practical, scalable Salesforce solutions. The contacts for this client are fun, engaging and we do a lot of laughing and joking together. You’ll work closely with internal team members (Technical Architect and Engagement Manager) and client stakeholders to define priorities, manage delivery, and design a thoughtful user experience across core Salesforce functionality. This is a remote, part-time contract role. What You’ll Be Doing In this role, you will help lead the next phase of the project by providing both project leadership and Salesforce consulting expertise. Responsibilities include: Project Leadership and Client Management Serve as a primary day-to-day point of contact for the client on the project alongside a Technical Architect and Engagement Director Lead client meetings, status calls, work sessions, and follow-up communication Maintain project momentum by managing scope, priorities, risks, timeline, and next steps Translate business discussions into clear requirements, user stories, and actionable work items Partner with internal team members to align solution design, delivery plans, and client expectations Produce and maintain core project deliverables such as project plans, status updates, decision logs, requirements documentation, testing plans, and deployment plans Help the client make sound decisions about priorities, tradeoffs, and phased delivery Salesforce Solution Design and Delivery Lead requirements discovery for business processes related to Sales Cloud and Service Cloud Design scalable solutions that align with the client’s operational goals and end-user needs Configure Salesforce functionality including fields, objects, page layouts, record types, flows, validation rules, list views, reports, dashboards, and other declarative tools Design and build automations using Salesforce best practices Help define data model extensions and business process workflows needed to support the next phase of the implementation Support testing strategy, QA, user acceptance testing, and deployment readiness Identify gaps in the current implementation and make recommendations for how to move the platform forward effectively Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure solutions are practical, adoptable, and well documented Buildout Focus for This Role This role is especially focused on the parts of the implementation that still need to be designed and built, including: Sales Cloud Service Cloud Supporting business processes, data structure, automation, and user workflows tied to those areas The ideal consultant can assess what exists today, determine what still needs definition, and lead the project through design and implementation with confidence. Who You Are You are a strong Salesforce consultant who also knows how to run a project. You can facilitate a client conversation, identify what matters, turn it into a plan, and help execute the work. You’re comfortable joining an in-flight project, getting oriented quickly, and bringing order, clarity, and forward motion. Required Qualifications 5+ years of Salesforce consulting experience, including direct client-facing work Demonstrated experience leading or heavily supporting Salesforce implementations Strong experience with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud Experience serving in a project management, business analyst, or solution lead capacity on active client engagements Ability to gather requirements, define user stories, and translate stakeholder needs into solution design Hands-on Salesforce configuration experience, including automation and reporting Strong understanding of Salesforce data models, security, and scalable platform design Experience managing project communications, timelines, deliverables, and client expectations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with nonprofit organizations or mission-driven clients Experience stepping into an existing implementation and helping stabilize or advance delivery Familiarity with change management, stakeholder alignment, and user adoption practices Experience documenting solution design and collaborating across technical and functional workstreams Salesforce certifications are a plus What Success Looks Like in This Role The project has clear structure, momentum, and ownership The client feels confident in the plan, priorities, and communication Sales Cloud and Service Cloud requirements are translated into a practical implementation roadmap Salesforce solutions are designed and configured in a way that is scalable, well tested, and aligned to real business needs Internal and client stakeholders have clarity on decisions, risks, and next steps Who We Are We’re a Portland-based consultancy made up of a tightly knit crew of technology consultants, strategists, and specialists who collaborate to design and implement modern, easy-to-use tech stacks for social impact organizations—think nonprofits and for-profits who care about doing good in the world just as much as making a buck.
