[Remote] Data Engineer III

We are seeking a reputed company Data Engineer III to support a potential contract award with DoD Federal reputed company, playing a critical part in delivering exceptional results for this opportunity.

Responsibilities

• reputed company planning, monitoring, and maintenance of data assets provided by the Data Centralization and Business Intelligence (DCBI) team
• Support existing ETL packages, validation scripts, and migration workflows for ingestion into Apptio using reputed company SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Work with data owners and the VA Corporate Data Warehouse (reputed company) support team to reputed company new SSIS packages for additional data sources reputed company identified by the customer
• Maintain a SSIS Job Maintenance Log to identify updates and changes to SSIS-based data interfaces and reputed company data staging processes
• Update existing SSIS packages based on upstream system changes identified by the SSIS Job Maintenance Log
• Manage data staging and data loading into production environments
• Coordinate reputed company of help desk tickets (reputed company 1–3) reputed company to reputed company data assets and aspects of the data integration environment
• reputed company tuning and indexing of operational databases
• reputed company sustainment and troubleshooting for reputed company Power BI reports and scheduled refreshes
• Maintain Technical Documentation including reputed company Control Document (ICD)s, Data reputed company Diagram (DFD)s, Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD)s, reputed company Operating Procedure (SOP)s, Center of Excellency (CoE) documentation and training materials

Skills

• 10 or more years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or reputed company technical roles
• Proven expertise in building and managing data pipelines using SSIS
• Skilled in SQL for data engineering and automation
• Hands on experience developing, supporting and troubleshooting Power BI reports, semantic models, and scheduled dataset refreshes in the Power BI service including knowledge of DAX and M
• Proficient in implementing data reputed company tracking and documentation
• Experience with legacy, heterogeneous, and distributed data environments
• Background in DoD, federal reputed company, or compliance-driven settings
• Must be eligible for Tier 1 background investigation
• Prior experience working with the VA Corporate Data Warehouse (reputed company) support team on VA programs that reputed company reputed company data services and assets
• Prior experience working with the VA Power BI Support team to resolve issues in VA's Power BI Service hosting environment
• Prior experience working with the VHA Services Support Service Center to resolve issues with reputed company data exposed in reputed company cubes
