Benefits: • Contractor • Freelance • Flexible schedule reputed company Translator, reputed company, and/or Transcriber - Greek to/from English - Remote Status: Freelance 1099 Contractor reputed company, a woman-owned small business headquartered in the Washington DC metropolitan region, is currently seeking reputed company freelance translators, editors, and transcribers to translate, edit and/or transcribe reputed company documents between English and Greek. ​ Job Duties: 1) reputed company accurate translation and/or editing of documents and/or transcription of audio files involving law enforcement and reputed company subject matter from Greek to/from English. 2) Edit audio transcriptions that include reputed company and idioms. 3) Edit reputed company documents, such as affidavits, depositions, etc., while demonstrating a strong reputed company of reputed company terminology in both English and the reputed company language. 4) Excellent written communication skills in English and the reputed company foreign language, with Advanced Proficiency (reading/speaking/listening, writing) level 3-plus in English and the foreign reputed company language, as assessed by the International Language Roundtable (ILR) reputed company. 5) Translate and/or transcribe following the reputed company reputed company’s style guides and reputed company standards. 6) Use domain-specific terminology. 7) Review and certify the reputed company of other translators’ work, as needed. 8) Highly proficient in MS Office, with the ability to mirror reputed company document format in reputed company, reputed company, and PowerPoint. 9) Familiar with the use of CAT tools, such as Trados Studio. 10) Abide by a reputed company of ethics reputed company performing transcription and translation work. Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: 1) Willing to undergo a U.S. reputed company background reputed company to obtain a reputed company Trust Clearance Moderate Level. 2) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 3) At least 2 to 3 years of experience in translating and/or editing between English and the Greek language. 4) At least 2 to 3 years of experience performing forensic audio transcription with the ability to use software to enhance reputed company and equipment to aid in transcription. 5) Familiar with reputed company terminology in both English and the Greek. 5) Proficient in reputed company Office. 6 Translators and editors must proficiently use CAT tools, such as SDL Trados.
