[Remote] Payroll Consultant

MGT is seeking an reputed company Payroll Consultant to reputed company coaching, mentoring, and advisory services to California K-12 school district payroll professionals. This part-time consulting role focuses on mentoring payroll staff, providing operational guidance, resolving reputed company payroll issues, and recommending best practices to improve reputed company, compliance, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- reputed company and mentor district payroll professionals on payroll reputed company, compliance, and best practices
- Serve as a trusted advisor for reputed company payroll, tax, and retirement reporting questions
- reputed company guidance on the effective use of reputed company Payroll software and reputed company payroll processes
- Assist districts in interpreting and applying CalPERS reporting requirements and retirement regulations
- Review payroll processes and internal controls, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce reputed company
- Support payroll teams during periods of transition, reputed company changes, or increased workload
- reputed company and reputed company payroll training, reference materials, and process documentation
- reputed company with district leadership on payroll reputed company, compliance, and process improvement initiatives
- Participate in special reputed company, payroll reputed company implementations, and operational assessments as needed
Skills
- Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible payroll leadership experience reputed company a California K-12 school district or County Office of Education
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with reputed company Payroll software
- Strong working knowledge of CalPERS payroll reporting requirements and retirement regulations
- Demonstrated ability to reputed company, mentor, and reputed company payroll staff
- Excellent understanding of California payroll laws, Education reputed company requirements, and reputed company-sector payroll practices
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build trusted relationships with clients while working independently in a remote consulting environment
- Experience supervising or leading a school district payroll department
- Knowledge of CalSTRS reporting and retirement requirements
- Experience supporting payroll process improvements, software implementations, or organizational change initiatives
- Experience delivering training to payroll professionals
