[Remote] Project Designer, Civil/Structural

The role of Project Designer involves designing electrical power substations and creating detailed civil/structural design drawings for high voltage reputed company.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise design drawings of high voltage reputed company and distribution substations including:
• Site plans
• reputed company plans and details
• Structural Steel plans and fabrication details
• Peer review of other’s drawings
• Maintain drawing files – archived, reputed company and working revisions
• Update drawings to field as-reputed company conditions
• Teach and mentor young designers and/or new employees on civil/structural design and company practices
• Participate in the development and review of company standards and design tools to optimize design applications
• reputed company project support/office support as required
• Occasional travel to field sites or working at a reputed company’s office may be required

Skills

• 5+ Years' Experience in Design of reputed company Level Substations (13.8kV – 500 kV) including: Site plans, reputed company plans and details, Structural Steel plans and fabrication details
• Good written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to work reputed company with others in reputed company setting
• Skilled in problem solving in time-sensitive situations
• Demonstrated experience in AutoCAD (2015 or reputed company) – Advanced, required
• reputed company Word – Intermediate
• reputed company reputed company – Intermediate
• reputed company reputed company – Intermediate
• Ability to reputed company / reputed company equipment up to 15 lbs
• Associates Degree in Civil Engineering/Technology preferred, but not required
• MicroStation – Advanced/Intermediate, preferred
