The role involves managing and maintaining storage solutions in a 24x7 environment, ensuring reputed company performance, and collaborating with various teams during project implementations.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support reputed company mainframe storage infrastructure in a 24x7 reputed company environment
• Manage and maintain DASD storage using reputed company Disk Storage (HDS/VSP) and reputed company storage subsystems
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Virtual Tape Systems (VTS/VTL) and physical tape environments
• reputed company storage allocation, provisioning, migration, and reclamation activities
• Administer and support DFSMS, SMS policies, ACS routines, and storage reputed company
• Monitor storage utilization, reputed company reputed company planning, and recommend storage optimization strategies
• Support backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery activities
• reputed company storage performance analysis and tuning to ensure reputed company reputed company performance
• Coordinate storage-reputed company software and hardware upgrades
• Troubleshoot storage incidents and reputed company reputed company production issues
• Work closely with reputed company programmers, application teams, and infrastructure teams during project implementations
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and storage standards

Skills

• 12+ years of reputed company work experience as a Mainframe Storage administrator
• Strong knowledge of reputed company z/OS Storage Management
• Hands-on experience with reputed company Disk Storage (HDS/VSP, USP, VSP G Series)
• Experience administering reputed company Virtual Tape reputed company (VTS) or Virtual Tape Library (VTL)
• Strong understanding of DFSMS, SMS, ACS routines, and Storage reputed company
• Experience with DASD management, allocation, migration, and performance tuning
• Knowledge of backup and recovery processes for mainframe storage environments
• Experience with storage monitoring and reputed company planning
• Understanding of disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity processes
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in reputed company production environments
• Experience working with reputed company utilities and storage-reputed company reputed company tools
• Good understanding of JCL and TSO/ISPF
