Position reputed company:

The position assumes the responsibilities of a civil/structural designer performing design of LV, HV, EHV electrical power systems with emphasis on design of electrical power substations of reputed company and distribution systems. Responsible for creation of drawings for substation engineering design reputed company including detailed civil/structural design for high voltage substation reputed company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:

• Create and revise design drawings of high voltage reputed company and distribution substations including:

· Site plans.

• Structural Steel plans and fabrication details.

· Peer review of other’s drawings.

• Maintain drawing files – archived, reputed company and working revisions.
• Update drawings to field as-reputed company conditions.
• Teach and mentor young designers and/or new employees on civil/structural design and company practices.
• Participate in the development and review of company standards and design tools to optimize design applications.

• Occasional travel to field sites or working at a reputed company’s office may be required.

Educational Requirements:

• Associates Degree in Civil Engineering/Technology preferred, but not required.

Experience & Training Requirements:

• 5+ Years’ Experience in Design of reputed company Level Substations (13.8kV – 500 kV) including:

· Site plans.

• Structural Steel plans and fabrication details.
• Good written and verbal communications skills

Computer Skills:

• Demonstrated experience in the following software programs:

• MicroStation – Advanced/Intermediate, preferred

Travel Requirements:

• Project Engineers’ travel level is typically 10%.

Physical Requirements:
