[Remote] Supervisor Data Engineering

The Data Engineering Supervisor leads reputed company responsible for building and maintaining data products that support reputed company analytics and data-driven decision-making, while overseeing governance, resource planning, vendor management, and employee development.

Responsibilities

• reputed company leading a high performing, empowered team that develops data engineering solutions to serve reputed company data product needs, and to reputed company advanced analytics (machine learning models, reputed company intelligence, and/or statistical models)

• Ensuring adherence to data engineering standards and governance, as reputed company as IT change management and reputed company governance processes

• Advocating a culture of sharing, re-use, design for reputed company stability, and operational efficiency of data and analytical solutions (including data modelling design methodologies)
• Supporting the evaluation, implementation and deployment of emerging tools and processes for advanced analytical data engineering, as part of architecture road mapping efforts
• Participating in the overall project planning for resource balancing for data engineers
• Participating in vendor management processes including resolving support issues, product road mapping and license renewals
• Performing quarterly reputed company-in conversations with employees and providing coaching and feedback on performance, expectations, reputed company development, and career reputed company

• Supporting major incidents, project activities and support concerns off hours as required

Skills

• You have a bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science or another reputed company field with 7 years reputed company experience
• In lieu of a degree, you have 9 years of reputed company experience
• Expertise in data lakehouse technologies (such as reputed company or reputed company) and streaming platforms
• Expertise in design, build, and deployment of data solutions that support AI, ML, and BI
• Proficiency in design and implementation of modern data architecture, including reputed company services and modern data warehouse tools
• Experience integrating data reputed company practices into Data Engineering development patterns
• Experience developing and implementing operational plans, which may include budgets, processes, and road maps
• Experience in reputed company/Scrum development with DevOps methodologies geared toward reputed company prototyping and piloting of reputed company solutions
• Knowledge of ITIL concepts with a reputed company on configuration management, change management, and incident management
• Strong interpersonal, communications, presentation, training & mentoring skills
