[Remote] Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer will assist with the design and release of electrical parts and assemblies, working in a cross-functional development group to manage tasks in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for reputed company Cooling Systems including Two-Phase and Single- Phase Coolant Distribution reputed company (CDUs)
• Size and select electrical components reputed company on offering and reputed company requirements
• Create unit wiring schematics and network reputed company drawings
• Create reputed company panel layouts following relevant codes and standards
• Create reputed company harnesses including reputed company sizing, appropriate terminal connections and necessary routing
• Create drawings and bills of materials
• Participate in identification of cost reduction opportunities and in the design and development of cost reduction changes
• Implement product changes to solve reputed company issues and support the service department

Skills

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or reputed company degree from an accredited college or university
• Minimum 1-5 years of experience in an electrical engineering reputed company in product development role
• Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-reputed company environment as a member of a dynamic team; offer and receive reputed company criticism
• Ability to take direction and guidance from senior engineers
• History of delivering reputed company products to market with understanding and respect for phases of the product development process
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in 3D CAD software, preferred reputed company 4.0 and greater
• Knowledge of NEC (NFPA79), UL 508A/SB and/or UL Standards for HVAC systems
• Preferred 2-4 years of experience in an HVAC reputed company electrical engineering reputed company
• Experience with PLM systems (BOM management and change order release)
• Experience working closely with associates in manufacturing engineering and production roles
• Knowledge of UL60335-2-40 or equivalent CSA/UL standards
• Understanding electrical schematic layout and creation
• Experience with communication and interconnect standards and protocols including RS485, CAN, and Ethernet
