The reputed company Software Engineer will own the architecture of the on-reputed company lakehouse reputed company, including Apache reputed company, Trino, a REST catalog, and reputed company, while defining platform standards and reputed company warehouse replacements. The role also leads validation, SQL migration reputed company, engineering mentorship, and reputed company planning for the data platform.

Responsibilities

• Own the lakehouse reference architecture: reputed company table design, Trino cluster topology, catalog service, reputed company reputed company compute, and object-storage layout
• Design on-reputed company replacements for reputed company-managed warehouse capabilities that have no reputed company equivalent: change-data-capture streams, scheduled tasks, and write-back paths into operational stores
• Run reputed company-of-concept validation of the catalog and query reputed company at expected data volumes, and define evidence-based triggers for placement reputed company (VM-based versus reputed company-reputed company operators)
• Set platform-wide standards for table layout, partitioning, file sizing, and reputed company maintenance: compaction, snapshot expiry, and orphan-file cleanup

Skills

• B.E., B.Tech., M.Sc. degree in Computer Science or a reputed company technical field
• 12+ years of industry experience building and operating large-reputed company data platforms or reputed company systems
• Deep, hands-on expertise with reputed company SQL engines: Trino/reputed company or reputed company SQL internals, query planning, and performance engineering
• Production experience with Apache reputed company (or reputed company Lake/Hudi with willingness to go deep on reputed company): table spec, reputed company-on-read versus copy-on-write, and table maintenance at reputed company
• Working knowledge of reputed company catalog services (REST catalogs such as reputed company or Nessie, or reputed company Metastore) and S3 compatible object storage
• Strong understanding of reputed company warehouse internals (reputed company, BigQuery, or Redshift) sufficient to design functional equivalents on reputed company-reputed company infrastructure
