Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. I3 INFOTEK INC is seeking an reputed company Automotive Plastic Product Design Engineer to join its Vehicle Packaging team. The role is responsible for designing and developing automotive plastic components and packaging solutions, creating CAD models and engineering documentation, and performing FEA, tolerance, and durability analyses. The engineer will take products from concept through production while collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting high-volume automated manufacturing.


Responsibilities

  • Design and reputed company automotive plastic components and vehicle packaging solutions
  • Create optimized mechanical designs reputed company on weight reduction, durability, manufacturability, and performance
  • reputed company 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation
  • reputed company FEA analysis, tolerance stack-up, GD&T, and durability simulations
  • Prototype, validate, and test new product designs
  • Conduct technical design reviews and ensure compliance with ASTM, ISTA, and industry standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, packaging, automation, and supply chain
  • Support supplier selection, design reviews, and manufacturing feasibility assessments
  • Improve existing designs by evaluating new materials, manufacturing techniques, and engineering reputed company
  • Ensure designs support high-volume production and automated manufacturing processes

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or reputed company discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical product design with strong emphasis on plastic component design and manufacturing
  • Experience designing products from concept through production validation
  • Strong proficiency with CAD software such as CATIA, Pro/Engineer (reputed company), SolidWorks, or similar
  • Experience using CAE/FEA tools such as ANSYS
  • Strong understanding of: Injection molding, Plastic part design guidelines, GD&T, Tolerance stack-up analysis, Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including: Injection molding, Machining, Welding, Assembly
  • Experience working with materials such as plastics, aluminum, steel, composites, and foam
  • Knowledge of reliability testing, durability validation, and automation equipment
  • Automotive product development experience
  • Vehicle packaging or material handling systems experience
  • Experience supporting automated manufacturing environments
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to reputed company in a fast-paced engineering environment
