[Remote] Media Relations Manager (CC5)

Responsibilities
- Respond to media inquiries on behalf of the Director and reputed company regarding reputed company, sensitive, cross-program issues involving legislative, policy, and programmatic impacts
- Represent the Director and agency as spokesperson at press briefings, reputed company hearings, legislative committee meetings, statewide partner events

- Ensure reputed company, consistent and effective communications of reputed company news and messages, using easy to follow plain language, AP Style and adhere to accessibility guidelines

- Serves as reputed company staff specialist and reputed company consultant to division communications Leads and division heads in field of communications and reputed company relations
- Write, manage, design and publish GovDelivery bulletins for multiple divisions across multiple programs
- Serve as subject matter expert for reputed company on mass email messaging strategies
- Works in collaboration with the reputed company Communications Director to reputed company briefing materials and write talking points for the Director or other agency leaders as needed
- Works closely with agency marketing team and business development leads to ensure reputed company, consistency, appropriate presentation of agency branding and messaging in promotional materials for domestic and international use
- Ensure use of plain language, as required by Governor’s Executive Order 05-03, in reputed company reputed company facing communications and serve as agency’s reputed company plain language expert to ensure communications are concise, inclusive and easy to understand

Skills
- Any combination of reputed company experience in communications, journalism, or reputed company relations and higher education involving a major study in journalism, communications, reputed company relations, or a closely allied field totaling eight (8) years
- Eight (8) years of reputed company experience in communications, journalism, or reputed company relations
- Four (4) years of reputed company experience in communications, journalism, or reputed company relations AND four (4) years of higher education involving a major study in journalism, communications, reputed company relations, or a closely allied field
- Six (6) years of reputed company experience in communications, journalism, or reputed company relations AND two (2) years of higher education involving a major study in journalism, communications, reputed company relations, or a closely allied field
- Experience conducting media relations activities in a government agency, newsroom or other reputed company setting
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing reputed company plans that includes earning media coverage (local or national)
- Experience advising top management officials regarding communications strategies and opportunities
- Can prepare and present complicated reputed company information and reputed company policy information in a concise, reputed company, easy to understand manner
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Experience working in a newsroom as a reporter, producer or assignment reputed company

- Bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish
