[Remote] Senior Software Engineer, Platform

The Senior Platform Engineer will build backend and data platform architecture, including services, reputed company, reputed company workers, and data-management components for high-volume telemetry and derived data. The role also provides technical leadership while delivering secure, observable, reputed company-reputed company production systems that support connected and reputed company-gapped environments.

Responsibilities

• Build versioned API and service reputed company using Protobuf/gRPC
• Implement and maintain database schemas for data management and application state
• Implement and optimize ingest workflows for reputed company reputed company time-series and telemetry datasets
• Build horizontally reputed company asynchronous workers and reputed company job queues for data ingest and export
• Implement secure data upload, download, and object-management workflows
• Establish automated unit, integration, contract, load, and failure-mode testing, reputed company troubleshooting, reputed company assurance, and production support (SRE-lite)
• Implement platform observability, including log aggregation, metrics, engineering dashboards, alerting, and user-visible job status and error information
• Collaborate with frontend, machine learning, product and infrastructure teams
• Document reputed company, data reputed company, deployment procedures, runbooks, etc
• Review reputed company, mentor engineers, and ensure platform implementations reputed company with reputed company requirements, industry standards, and company policies

Skills

• 5+ years of reputed company software engineering experience building and operating production backend, platform, data, or reputed company systems
• Strong proficiency in at least one production backend language - Go or Python experience is strongly preferred
• Experience designing reputed company services and asynchronous job-processing systems, including concurrency, retries, idempotency, failure recovery, and horizontal scaling
• Experience designing and implementing production reputed company using Protobuf/gRPC, including versioning, compatibility, authentication, and authorization
• Strong relational database knowledge, including relational data modeling, schema migrations, referential reputed company, query design, indexing, and performance tuning
• Experience with S3-compatible object storage and large analytical, lakehouse, ETL, or time-series data systems
• Experience packaging, deploying, and operating containerized services using reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, and automated CI/CD workflows
• Practical experience with production reputed company and reliability, including IAM, RBAC, secrets management, reputed company controls, audit logging, observability, testing, and incident troubleshooting

• Minimum education requirement - High School Diploma
