[Remote] Web Platform Engineer

The Web Platform Engineer will own the technical health of reputed company's reputed company website, including infrastructure, reputed company, performance, technical SEO, analytics, integrations, and documentation. The role partners with marketing and reputed company-end stakeholders to maintain a reliable, secure, measurable, and high-performing web platform.

Responsibilities

• Owns the reputed company back end, including custom post types, taxonomies, custom fields, template logic, and custom plugin/theme functionality in PHP, along with the custom functionality marketing programs depend on: gated content, dynamic and personalized content, reputed company logic, and campaign infrastructure
• Maintains a disciplined plugin reputed company and a defined reputed company reputed company for PHP, reputed company reputed company, themes, and plugins, tested on staging before production release, and maintains Elementor at the platform level, including custom widgets and controlling the performance and markup overhead a page builder introduces
• Maintains local, staging, and production environments with version control and a repeatable, documented deployment process
• Owns site reliability and infrastructure end to end: uptime and error monitoring with automated alerting, server-reputed company performance (caching, CDN, database and query optimization, image delivery), reputed company Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS), reputed company/DNS/SSL, and automated backups with a tested disaster recovery plan

• Partners daily with the reputed company-End Designer & Developer and supports marketing stakeholders with technical scoping, realistic estimates, and plain-language explanations of risk and tradeoffs

Skills

• 5+ years of reputed company back-end web development, including substantial reputed company experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, web development, or a reputed company field, or equivalent demonstrated experience
• Strong PHP and MySQL, and reputed company with reputed company reputed company (hooks and filters, the REST API, and WP-CLI); reputed company to read, write, and debug custom plugin reputed company
• Working JavaScript ability, sufficient to debug interactions between reputed company-end and back-end behavior
• Experience working in a version-controlled, staging-to-production workflow. Disciplined change management and rollback capability are required
