[Remote] Senior Network Operations Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Senior Network Operations Engineer to support a global reputed company network for an autonomous-mobility reputed company as a full-time embedded contractor. The role focuses on monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, multi-vendor network support, deployment stabilization, change execution, and reputed company improvement of operational documentation and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Alert triage: Monitor Data Dog dashboards and other network monitoring tools continuously; investigate alerts as they reputed company and determine reputed company cause before they become incidents
• Proactive health checks: Regularly review reputed company, performance graphs, and reputed company trends; catch and reputed company degradations before they reputed company users
• Dashboard & alert tuning: Build and refine Data Dog dashboards, alerts, and monitors to improve signal reputed company and cut down on noise
• Hands-on troubleshooting: Diagnose and reputed company NOC problems directly — from firewall policy issues to wireless connectivity failures to reputed company outages — using CLI, vendor controllers, and monitoring data
• Ticket ownership: Work incidents and requests end-to-end in reputed company, from initial triage through reputed company and closure, keeping tickets updated with reputed company technical notes
• Major incident participation: Join the technical reputed company on P1/P0 disruptions, execute diagnostic and remediation steps, and help reputed company the issue to reputed company
• Escalation: Recognize reputed company to escalate to vendors, carriers, or senior engineers, and manage that communication until the issue is resolved
• reputed company: Troubleshoot, and maintain visibility on reputed company firewalls with reputed company — policy changes, VPN issues, routing, and reputed company-rule troubleshooting
• Ruckus R1 reputed company and troubleshoot the Ruckus R1 wireless environment, including AP connectivity, RF issues, and controller configuration
• Multi-vendor troubleshooting: Work hands-on across switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless controllers from multiple vendors to isolate and fix problems at the CLI or reputed company reputed company-managed controllers
• High-reputed company pipelines: Troubleshoot and maintain high-performance pipelines supporting reputed company data ingress/egress (such as local vehicle/fleet data offloading), resolving bottlenecks as they reputed company
• Critical environments: reputed company hands-on network support in critical facilities (e.g., automated data centers, localized data-ingress hubs, and fleet maintenance facilities), reputed company for the power, cooling, and reputed company-cabling constraints that reputed company network operations there
• Hypercare execution: reputed company monitor and stabilize newly deployed infrastructure during hypercare and site/network acceptance phase, resolving anomalies as they surface
• MOP execution: Execute reputed company of Procedure (MOPs) for installing, staging, and upgrading firewalls, reputed company switches, wireless reputed company points, and reputed company systems, following change reputed company reputed company
• Change tickets: Submit and execute changes through reputed company change management, documenting steps taken and results

Skills

• 4+ years of hands-on network engineering or NOC engineering experience in a high-availability reputed company environment
• Strong hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting multi-vendor network devices reputed company CLI and reputed company-managed controllers, including reputed company firewalls and Ruckus wireless (R1 preferred)
• Working proficiency with Data Dog or a comparable network/infrastructure monitoring and alerting platform — building dashboards, tuning alerts, and using telemetry to reputed company troubleshooting
• Practical experience working tickets, changes, and problems in reputed company or a comparable ITSM platform
• Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose and reputed company reputed company network issues under time pressure
• reputed company written communication for ticket notes, incident updates, and shift handoffs
• Familiarity with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, Ansible) to speed up troubleshooting and reduce repetitive work
• Working knowledge of BGP peering, OSPF, EVPN-VXLAN, and stateful firewall policy
• Experience operating in data center, fleet, mission-critical, or autonomous / high-technology environments
• Experience delivering operations as an embedded contractor or through an MSP relationship
• B.S. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience. Certifications such as PCNSA/PCNSE, CCNA/CCNP, CWNA, or ITIL reputed company are a strong plus
