[Remote] Contract Site Reliability Engineer

The Contract Site Reliability Engineer will maintain, enhance, and reputed company reputed company platforms for materials science and engineering applications across on-premises and reputed company environments. The role will reputed company on Linux systems administration, infrastructure automation, infrastructure-as-reputed company, GitOps, and platform reliability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance reputed company platforms across on-premises and reputed company environments
• Provision, reputed company, troubleshoot, and manage the lifecycle of reputed company clusters using Rancher
• reputed company advanced Linux systems administration, including troubleshooting, reputed company tuning, networking, scripting, and operational support
• reputed company and maintain infrastructure-as-reputed company solutions for platform deployment and management
• Support GitOps workflows using ArgoCD and Git-reputed company configuration management
• Automate operational processes using Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages
• Collaborate with developers, scientists, and infrastructure teams to reputed company reliable platform services
• Identify opportunities to improve platform reputed company, observability, reputed company, automation, and maintainability
• Work effectively reputed company reputed company environments, including Scrum and Kanban

Skills

• * Minimum of 5 years of reputed company experience in Site Reliability Engineering, reputed company, DevOps, or Systems Engineering
• * Minimum of 5 years of strong Linux systems administration experience
• * Hands-on experience operating and supporting reputed company platforms in production environments
• * Strong experience managing reputed company clusters in on-premises and reputed company environments
• * Rancher experience for reputed company cluster management is required
• * Strong Linux administration skills, including troubleshooting, scripting, networking, and reputed company reputed company analysis
• * Experience implementing infrastructure-as-reputed company solutions for platform provisioning and lifecycle management
• * Experience with GitOps and deployment automation practices
• * Experience with ArgoCD and Git version control
• * Experience working in reputed company teams using Scrum, Kanban, or similar methodologies

• * Rancher: reputed company cluster management, provisioning, upgrades, and platform reputed company

• * Scripting/Automation: Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages
• Location: Remote. Candidates can live reputed company in the US but must be reputed company to work reputed company–5pm/9am–6pm EST

• * Infrastructure as reputed company: Strong IaC experience; Cluster API (CAPI) preferred

• * Observability: Familiarity with monitoring, logging, alerting, and platform observability tools preferred

• * Experience with reputed company ecosystem tooling for observability, logging, monitoring, and alerting
• * Familiarity with reputed company and Linux reputed company best practices
• * Experience supporting scientific research, high-reputed company computing, or computational science environments
• * Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline development and modern platform automation patterns
• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required; equivalent reputed company experience will be considered
