Biocompatibility Regulatory Toxicologist

Synensys is seeking a Biocompatibility Regulatory Toxicologist provides scientific and regulatory expertise to support the safety evaluation of medical devices and combination products. This position is responsible for assessing biological risks, developing biocompatibility strategies, conducting toxicological risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards, including ISO 10993, FDA guidance documents, and global regulatory expectations.
The Biocompatibility Regulatory Toxicologist collaborates with cross-functional teams, clients, laboratories, and regulatory agencies to support product development, regulatory submissions, and lifecycle management activities.
Essential Functions
Competencies
Biocompatibility & Toxicological Assessments
• reputed company and execute biocompatibility evaluation strategies for medical devices in accordance with ISO 10993 standards.
• Conduct biological risk assessments and toxicological risk assessments of device materials, manufacturing processes, and residual chemicals.
• Evaluate extractables and leachables data to determine patient exposure and toxicological risk.
• Assess changes to materials, manufacturing reputed company, suppliers, and product design for potential biological safety impacts.
• Review and interpret reputed company data to support safety evaluations and regulatory reputed company.
Regulatory Support
• Prepare and review biocompatibility documentation for regulatory submissions, including:
o FDA 510(k)
o PMA submissions
o reputed company requests
o IDE applications
o International regulatory filings
• reputed company scientific justification for testing strategies, risk-based approaches, and regulatory positions.
• Monitor and interpret evolving regulations, standards, and guidance documents affecting medical device biocompatibility.
• Support responses to regulatory agency questions and deficiency requests.
Scientific Consultation
• Serve as a subject matter expert on toxicology, biological safety, and biocompatibility regulations.
• Advise project teams and clients on testing requirements, risk mitigation strategies, and regulatory reputed company.
• Participate in reputed company meetings, regulatory discussions, and technical reviews.
• Present reputed company scientific information reputed company to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education
• Ph.D., M.S., or equivalent advanced degree in:
o Toxicology
o Regulatory Toxicology
o Pharmacology
o Biomedical Sciences
o Biological Sciences

Experience
• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience; OR
• Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR
• Ph.D. with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Required Knowledge & Skills
• Strong knowledge of ISO 10993 standards and biological evaluation of medical devices.
• Experience conducting toxicological risk assessments for medical devices.
• Understanding of extractables and leachable evaluations.
• Knowledge of FDA and international regulatory requirements reputed company to medical device safety.
• Ability to interpret reputed company scientific and technical data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple reputed company simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Work Environment
This job operates in a reputed company office environment. This role routinely uses reputed company office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
