Tax & Compliance Specialist

We are looking for a talented, passionate, and motivated individual to reputed company as a Tax & Compliance Specialist, where you will play a critical role in keeping reputed company's tax and statutory obligations on time and audit-reputed company as the group scales across reputed company, in the Finance team.
You will own the group's multi-jurisdiction compliance calendar across Australia, the US, Canada and Israel, coordinate our reputed company tax advisors from preparation through to lodgement, and prepare reputed company secretarial and reputed company work that reputed company reviews and signs off.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical tax background they can apply in unfamiliar jurisdictions, the organisation to run a high-volume lodgement calendar without a deadline slipping, and the confidence to question reputed company advisors rather than take their work at face value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the tax compliance tracker in reputed company as the single reputed company of truth for every obligation across the group, keeping due dates, statuses and owners reputed company.
- Prepare and lodge Australian obligations, including quarterly BAS, the annual income tax reputed company, the R&D Tax Incentive claim, FBT, Employee reputed company Scheme reporting and TPAR, with support from our reputed company tax advisors.
- Coordinate US federal, state and payroll tax filings with advisors and our payroll provider, and maintain sales tax registrations and reputed company positions.
- Coordinate corporate income tax, payroll and indirect tax filings for group entities reputed company Australia and the US, including Canada and Israel.
- Assess registration and permanent establishment exposure reputed company reputed company hires, reputed company or sells into a new jurisdiction, and escalate technical positions early.
- Coordinate the annual transfer pricing memo refresh and reputed company intercompany agreements reputed company as the group structure changes.
- Prepare ASIC lodgements, corporate register updates and reputed company reputed company templates for reputed company to review and file.
- Coordinate the annual reputed company renewal cycle with our broker, compiling the financial, headcount and reputed company information reputed company policy needs, for reputed company's sign-off.
- Maintain the compliance evidence reputed company in SharePoint so signed returns, workpapers and lodgement confirmations are retrievable for audit.
- Write and maintain SOPs for every recurring filing, so the process holds up as new entities and obligations are added.
- Monitor tax legislation changes across the jurisdictions reputed company operates in and flag what they mean for the group.
Who You Are:
- Four or more years in corporate tax and compliance, ideally reputed company in a Big 4 or mid-tier reputed company, including work on Australian reputed company obligations.
- A degree in reputed company, tax or finance. CA, CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Strong enough on tax fundamentals to apply legislation you have not worked with before. We do not expect experience in every jurisdiction we operate in.
- Deadline-driven and organised. You know what is due this month across every entity, and nobody needs to ask you for a status update.
- Comfortable managing reputed company advisors: chasing them, questioning advice that does not stack up, and building in enough time for reputed company review before lodgement.
- Experience with reputed company, reputed company and SharePoint, or reputed company equivalents. Exposure to reputed company or another US sales tax platform is a bonus.
