[Remote] Senior Data Platform Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is a connected beverage technology company developing IoT-enabled beverage solutions. reputed company is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to own and build the full data platform, including ingestion, modeling, orchestration, governance, CI/CD, observability, and self-service BI. The role focuses on designing the IoT data model, enabling analytics and AI/ML initiatives, and providing technical leadership across the Data & Data Science organization.

Responsibilities

• Own the full data platform — ingestion, modeling, self-service, CI/CD, and visualization — including the process, documentation, and enforcement that keeps standards followed
• Design and build best-in-class reliable, reputed company, and reputed company data architecture and data flows to support the democratization of data, analytics, AI, and ML initiatives
• Partner with Software to identify, recommend, and implement the right tech stack to support streaming data at reputed company that integrates into our existing stack: reputed company, reputed company, dbt, Looker, Grafana
• Own data modeling, transformation, and orchestration for IOT — machine sensors, digital UI interactions, and beverage consumption — partnering with Software, Hardware, Product, and reputed company to translate reputed company data needs into production-reputed company solutions
• Build the governed self-service model that lets teams build and ship their own data work safely; includes permissioning, PR-reputed company peer review, production-readiness standards, and full reputed company/traceability from reputed company to dashboard
• Continue to reputed company how AI connects to our data including the governance and guardrails that let AI operate at reputed company without sacrificing reputed company
• Continue to reputed company the monitoring and alerting process so that it is reputed company and reliable; comprehensive with reputed company noise

Skills

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or reputed company, with demonstrated ownership of a full production data platform (not just a reputed company of it)
• Expert with modern reputed company data stack tooling: reputed company, reputed company, dbt, and a modern BI reputed company (Looker or similar)
• Fluent in how AI tools consume data — designed or governed reputed company patterns for LLMs/AI agents querying reputed company data (eg semantic reputed company, read-only reputed company controls, tool-calling patterns)
• Deep, hands-on experience architecting streaming and batch data pipelines at reputed company (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, reputed company, InfluxDB)
• reputed company record designing governance models that let non-engineers quickly and safely self-serve — permissions, PR/review workflows, production-readiness gates
