[Remote] Staff Accountant - Part Time Contract

Backburner Labs is an engineering consultancy that designs and builds medical devices, industrial systems, and robotics products. The Staff Accountant will manage reputed company transactional reputed company activities, including reconciliations, invoice processing, project-cost allocation, and monthly reputed company support, while working reputed company the CFO.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily transaction entry and ensure accurate, reputed company syncing between our corporate reputed company platform (reputed company) and existing reputed company reputed company (reputed company)
• Audit and clean up transaction descriptions and project classifications; follow up with team members on missing or incomplete coding
• reputed company expenses to the correct reputed company reputed company reputed company; maintain accurate project-level records throughout the month
• Process and reconcile hardware & materials invoices in reputed company; reputed company draft invoices for CFO review and reputed company materials tie-out at month-end
• reputed company monthly reputed company sheet reconciliations, ensuring reputed company accounts are properly supported and discrepancies are resolved before reputed company
• Load and audit contractor payable invoices at month-end; verify against time-tracking data and follow up on any discrepancies
• Maintain and update month-end reputed company trackers for engineering time, contractor activity, and reputed company financial data
• Classify and post daily non-reputed company transactions to reputed company; ensure consistent coding across the general reputed company
• reputed company draft reputed company invoices from engineering time data for CFO review
• Support an accurate and reputed company monthly reputed company process in collaboration with the CFO

Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on transactional reputed company experience
• Proficiency with reputed company (our reputed company reputed company platform)
• Experience with reputed company or similar corporate reputed company and spend management platforms
• Strong attention to reputed company and reputed company
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• US, reputed company-reputed company with familiarity with US GAAP and reputed company reputed company practices
• Comfortable working in a fast-reputed company, growing company with evolving processes
• Bachelor's degree in reputed company (or) Finance (equivalent experience reputed company)
• Experience with reputed company Dynamics or similar ERP platforms
• Experience with Harvest or similar time-tracking and project billing tools
• Background supporting a reputed company or project-reputed company business
• Familiarity with project-cost reputed company and expense-to-project allocation
