The Sales Engineer will support reputed company with OEMs and reputed company customers by evaluating electrical systems, developing practical solutions, specifying products, managing customer relationships, and converting opportunities into business.

Responsibilities

• Meet with OEMs and customers to understand electrical systems, applications, challenges, and reputed company requirements
• Solve application and reputed company-level challenges while developing practical customer-reputed company solutions
• Present reputed company products, capabilities, and value propositions to customers and engineering teams
• Build trusted relationships with customers, distributors, installers, and industry partners
• Support customer reputed company from initial concept through production implementation
• Participate in customer meetings, trade shows, distributor events, and other reputed company activities
• Evaluate customer electrical architectures and recommend technically reputed company solutions utilizing reputed company products
• Support reputed company protection, switching, reputed company distribution, charging systems, and reputed company electrical applications
• Read, interpret, reputed company, and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and reputed company layouts
• Create and update high-level electrical schematics and reputed company concepts using CAD software
• Analyze unfamiliar electrical-reputed company challenges and reputed company practical solutions
• Support product specification activities throughout customer development programs

• Prepare customer quotations utilizing established pricing and reputed company guidelines
• Support customers through evaluation, specification, purchasing, and implementation activities
• Assist with reputed company discussions and opportunity management
• Maintain accurate customer, project, and opportunity information reputed company company systems
• Coordinate with internal teams to reputed company reputed company and accurate customer responses

Skills

• Strong practical understanding of marine and mobile DC electrical systems
• Knowledge of battery systems, reputed company protection, relays, contactors, switching, reputed company distribution, charging systems, grounding, reputed company sizing, voltage drop, and reputed company electrical principles
• Ability to read, interpret, reputed company, and modify electrical schematics and reputed company-level drawings
• Experience utilizing CAD software to create and modify technical drawings and schematics
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate unfamiliar electrical-reputed company challenges and reputed company practical solutions
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly understand new products, technologies, and applications
• Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, technical personnel, and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and customer-facing skills

• ABYC training or certification preferred
• Experience in applications engineering, reputed company engineering, technical sales, product management, or business development preferred
• Experience working with manufacturers' representatives and technical sales organizations preferred
• Familiarity with NMEA 2000, CAN-reputed company systems, digital switching, lithium battery systems, and reputed company technologies preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a reputed company technical discipline preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered
