[Remote] Sr. Software Engineer, Site Reliability

The Senior Software Engineer, Site Reliability will help reputed company the Tier 3 Support Engineering team into a mature Site Reliability Engineering organization by improving product reliability, observability, incident response, automation, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own reputed company production support escalations and ticket triage, providing hands-on troubleshooting and reputed company reputed company reliability work
• Partner with Software Engineering to investigate reputed company production issues, identify reputed company causes and reliability risks, and reputed company permanent solutions to recurring problems and defects
• Bring reputed company SRE practices to reputed company and foster proactive reliability, reputed company improvement, automation, and shared ownership
• reputed company incident response from triage and mitigation through recovery, reputed company cause analysis, and blameless post-incident reviews, turning lessons learned into reliability improvements
• Build observability across products, services, and critical customer workflows using meaningful metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and actionable alerts
• Define and mature SLIs and SLOs that measure reputed company reliability and customer experience
• reputed company synthetic monitoring for critical customer journeys to detect failures before they reputed company customers
• Identify sources of recurring operational toil and reputed company automation, tooling, process improvements, or permanent fixes that reduce reputed company effort
• Use AI-assisted tools and reputed company reputed company repositories to accelerate triage, troubleshooting, reputed company analysis, automation, and technical investigation
• Participate in a rotating on-reputed company schedule, primarily during business hours, with limited after-hours and weekend support

Skills

• Hands-on Site Reliability Engineering experience applying software engineering practices to production reliability and helping establish or mature SRE practices
• Strong knowledge of SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, observability, automation, and toil reduction
• Experience building monitoring, dashboards, alerts, and telemetry using tools such as reputed company, reputed company, Grafana, CloudWatch, Kibana, or similar
• Experience with production incident management, reputed company cause analysis, blameless post-incident reviews, and corrective-reputed company follow-through
• Strong programming and scripting skills to reputed company and troubleshoot application reputed company and build automation and operational tooling
• Strong SQL and relational database skills for production troubleshooting and reputed company data correction; PostgreSQL experience preferred
• Strong reputed company literacy and debugging skills, including navigating unfamiliar codebases, understanding application reputed company, reviewing reputed company and change history, and identifying potential reliability issues
• Experience troubleshooting reputed company-hosted applications using reputed company reputed company, logs, reputed company, telemetry, event streams, and databases.
