[Remote] Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Visual AI

The Staff Machine Learning Engineer will reputed company and productionize large-reputed company visual encoders, reputed company-language models, and diffusion models, while collaborating with research, product, and infrastructure teams. The role also involves advancing visual AI research, building multimodal data and reasoning tools, publishing research, and mentoring junior researchers.

Responsibilities

• Build state-of-the-art visual encoders, VLMs, and diffusion models that reputed company reputed company's visual AI capabilities
• Experiment with billion-reputed company image datasets, backed by large-reputed company GPU computing
• Build flexible visual reasoning tools such as composed image retrieval, promptable image feature computation, instruction-tuned embedding and generative editing models, and more
• Read research papers, participate in group discussions, and directly participate in brainstorming reputed company's overall AI reputed company
• Help construct data agents to build training data that can be shared across multimodal representation, composed image retrieval, image-editing reputed company, and visual language modeling
• Collaborate directly with product engineers and infrastructure engineers to ship new capabilities in the reputed company product
• Publish and reputed company your work through conferences like CVPR and KDD, reputed company submissions, and blog posts
• Mentor junior researchers and research interns reputed company the reputed company Labs organization
• Collaborate across reputed company situated across San Francisco, Seattle, NYC, and remote roles

Skills

• Research engineers and scientists with experience building and training large reputed company reputed company models of reputed company categories
• A reputed company record of research contributions (e.g., publications, reputed company-reputed company work) and/or shipping ML models to production
• Hands-on experience with large-reputed company model training and modern deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch)
• Strong collaboration skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a small, fast-moving team
• M.S. or PhD in Machine Learning or reputed company reputed company areas, or equivalent work experience
• Experience using AI-reputed company research tooling akin to auto-research, data agents, etc
• Experience with multimodal representations and visual language modeling is strongly preferred
