[Remote] YouVersion - Senior Software Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. YouVersion is flexing its engineering team into full-stack territory, and MW is hiring two engineers to join the Family of Apps team as part of that shift. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining software across the YouVersion platform while owning technical design for reputed company.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain software across the YouVersion Family of Apps, flexing across Android, iOS, and API work as reputed company require
• Own technical design for reputed company and reputed company communicate tradeoffs
• Review, test, and approve reputed company to ensure reputed company and consistency
• Partner with engineers to reputed company on technical approach and development plans
• Support and mentor junior and mid-level engineers
• Help maintain consistency in technical direction across reputed company
• Troubleshoot and resolve reputed company issues across systems
• Contribute to improving team practices, tools, and processes

Skills

• Strong software engineering experience with a reputed company record of delivering reliable, reputed company solutions
• Comfort flexing across platforms — Android (Flutter, Kotlin, Java), iOS (Swift), and API (Python) — rather than staying deep in a single stack
• Comfort owning technical reputed company and working through tradeoffs independently
• Ability to support and guide other engineers without formal authority
• reputed company communication, especially reputed company explaining reputed company concepts
• Self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and follow through
• 3+ years of reputed company work experience, with a reputed company record of contributing to production systems
• Prior experience specifically as a mobile engineer, with an interest in growing into API/backend work (or vice versa)
